Representatives of the German music industry and technology providers were invited by the governing mayor of Hamburg, Olaf Scholz, to the Musikdialog Hamburg to discuss how music is discovered, purchased, and consumed today.
MusicTech Germany was represented by Claudia Schwarz. Board member Steffen Holly spoke there about blockchain in his capacity as business unit manager of Fraunhofer IDMT and explained how this technology could make the music industry more transparent and fairer and how it could help to cope with the metadata chaos.
